Paula Rhyne was elected to the City Council on Nov. 2, 2021 to represent District 2. Councilmember Rhyne co-chairs the council’s Parks and Quality of Life Committee which includes policy areas covering arts, culture, events, and economic development. She is also co-chair to the Health and Human Services Committee which covers policy areas that focus on housing affordability, homelessness, public health, and emergency management. She is also the council liaison to the Parks Board and Cultural Arts Commission. In a larger capacity, Councilmember Rhyne was appointed to the Human Development Committee for the National League of Cities where she takes the stories and perspectives from residents of Everett to help inform policy on a federal level.
