On Wednesday, May 17, the City Clerk's office will be closing early for lunch at 11:30 a.m. We will resume normal business at 1 p.m.
The Clerk’s Office is committed to open public government and to serving you.
The City Clerk retains the official record of all formal meetings of the City Council, acts as the custodian of the city seal and official city records, and codifies all ordinances into the Everett Municipal Code. Many of these documents can be found on our Digital Records Center.
The Clerk’s Office also oversees the business tax and licensing functions for the city, including business & occupation tax, gambling, admissions and utility tax. Additionally, the Clerk’s Office issues a variety of permits, including special events and residential and service parking.
The Clerk’s Office is the point of contact for the public to request records. The Public Records Officer manages all public records requests on behalf of the city, excluding Police Department records.
