  2. Baby Storytime (Virtual)

    Tuesday Summer Baby Storytimes will be held virtually through Microsoft Teams. Register for storytimes and kits at epls.org/signmeup. Once registered, an event link will be sent to you. For babies 0 -18 months Tuesdays @ 10:30 a.m. | Microsoft Teams Books, lap bounces, songs and rhymes promote language learning and early literacy skills. Summer Baby Storytimes are also held In-Person at the Main Library on Thursdays @ 10:30 a.m. Registration is not required for In-Person Baby Storytime.

    For ages 18 to 36 months Lively stories and movement activities support language development and introduce self-regulation skills. Summer toddler storytimes will be held in person. Tickets will be handed out the morning of storytime to ensure space for physical distancing. Storytime may be cancelled or transitioned to an online format if COVID health metrics worsen.

  4. Chinese Martial Arts Workshop for Youth (Evergreen Branch)

    For ages 10-16. Learn to move like characters in your favorite action movies through the style of wushu. This series of 6, 1-hour sessions will focus on basics, simple forms, and jumps. This is a performance-based program, not a contact-sport. Register at www.epls.org/signmeup. Melody, one of our Youth Services Librarians, will be leading these classes. She has been doing wushu since she was 14, competed nationally, and coached the Husky Wushu Team. Her specialties are in straight sword, fan, and double straight sword. Her favorite part of doing wushu is the confidence and strength it has given her throughout her teen and adult life.
