    Catfishing is a form of deceptive activity when someone creates a puppet/fake social media profile or identity usually as a means of targeting and deceiving specific victims. Catfishing has been used to attract a person online and lure them into meeting someone in person which may lead to kidnap, rape, or any form or sexual abuse or even murder. It is important to educate your kids not to trust online profiles or agree to meet someone they met online no matter how close they feel they have gotten from their online interactions. Cyberstalking refers to the act of using the internet to stalk or harass someone. It is a technologically based form of attaching which targets a specific individual out of anger or for revenge or control. Cyberstalking might be restricted to simply monitoring but can go as far as leading to threats, solicitation for sex, vandalism, and even identity theft.
