    Spotlight (2015, Tom McCarthy, 128 min, R) Riveting Academy Award Best Picture true story of the Boston Globe investigation that uncovered child molestation and cover-up in the Catholic Church stars Mark Ruffalo, Michael Keaton, and Rachel McAdams. Critic’s take: “No need to bury the lede: Spotlight is a masterpiece.” The critics have spoken! Throughout 2019, the Evergreen Cinema Society explores some of the highest-rated recent films according to movie critics. Each film is preceded by information about the artists, genre, style, and history. A brief discussion follows. All screenings at 1 PM.
