  4. FHC Presents 'The Development of Tank Destroyers'

    May 30, 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM @ Flying Heritage Collection

Join Nicholas Moran, Military Historian for Wargaming America and US Army Armor Officer, as he details the history of the tank destroyer. The tank destroyer doctrine is one of the more misunderstood moves by the US Army in WW2. However, it was also an important part of the whole system, a separate command, with over thirty vehicles developed for the role, and some 60 tank destroyer battalions activated. We look at why the tank destroyers were developed, how the US Army attempted to meet the need, and why they were “a most successful failure." Free with Tankfest Northwest Admission. Discounted presale tickets to the event can be found at Contact (877) 342-3404 or for more information.
