    The Carl Gipson Senior Center of Everett together with the Everett Senior Center Foundation invite you to attend our first ever Senior Art Show. Please come and enjoy the art works of Senior Center members Minnie Pohlman and Jerry Newport. Light refreshments will be served. All of their works will be for sale. The artists will be here on both days for you to meet them and discuss other art opportunities for you.

  1. Evergreen Branch Library FUNNY FILM FEST: "Blazing Saddles"

    July 29, 1:30 PM - 4:30 PM @ Evergreen Branch Library

    Join us for a film screening and discussion of "Blazing Saddles" (Mel Brooks, 1974). A corrupt political boss (Harvey Korman) appoints a black sheriff (Cleavon Little) in an effort to ruin a western town for political gain. Allying himself with a has-been gunman (Gene Wilder), the sheriff becomes his strongest enemy. Winner of best comedy from the Writers Guild of America. This spoof of the Western genre is, as the New York Times put it: “every Western you’ve ever seen turned upside down and inside out.” Preserved by the National Film Board in 2006. Ranked number six on American Film Institute’s 100 Years…100 Laughs list. R, 93 min.
