For babies 0 -18 months Tuesdays @ 10:30 a.m. | Microsoft Teams Books, lap bounces, songs and rhymes promote language learning and early literacy skills. Summer Baby Storytimes are also held In-Person at the Main Library on Thursdays @ 10:30 a.m. Registration is not required for In-Person Baby Storytime.

    For ages 10-16. Learn to move like characters in your favorite action movies through the style of wushu. This series of 6, 1-hour sessions will focus on basics, simple forms, and jumps. This is a performance-based program, not a contact-sport. Register at www.epls.org/signmeup. Melody, one of our Youth Services Librarians, will be leading these classes. She has been doing wushu since she was 14, competed nationally, and coached the Husky Wushu Team. Her specialties are in straight sword, fan, and double straight sword. Her favorite part of doing wushu is the confidence and strength it has given her throughout her teen and adult life.

    For ages 14 to 18, limited to 15 participants. Make basic foam cuffs and encase them in Worbla during this 2 hour workshop. Jade Cheung of Arctic Phoenix Studios has been teaching cosplay workshops for a number of years at several local libraries and has previously presented at events such as Whidbey Con, Crypticon, Emerald City Comicon, and PAX West. Come learn how to make a basic bracer! The concepts taught will allow you to plan and scale up the project to make armor, props, and other projects. Sign-up at www.epls.org/signmeup.
