What are the hours of filming in the City?
Filming in residential areas is prohibited between the hours of 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. weekdays and 10 p.m. and 9 a.m. weekends. This applies to the arrival and departure of cast, crew and equipment as well as actual filming. In some instances, if advance written approval is obtained from the residents affected, the Film Office may grant an extension.
(See attached Extended Hour Form pdf )

If an extension is granted, a noise variance is required. The cost of the variance is included in the permit fee and requires 10 days advance notice.
