Lake's happy tail

Lake's happy tail!

This summer Lake was abandoned in a carrier outside the shelter in very rough shape. He had a bad upper respiratory infection, was thin and dehydrated and had severe untreated eye infections which required surgery to remove his eyes. He was only a few weeks old and quickly became a staff and volunteer favorite.

Thanks to our donors who contributed to his care, Lake has made a full recovery and has since been adopted into a loving home!

His family says, "Lake is fully healed and is living his best life with his new best friend, Mai. He is full of snuggles and loves to rub his face all over ours. He loves to pounce on toys (his favorite is a stationary ball track) and is becoming an extremely capable hunter by practicing with wand toys. He has also been learning to jump up and explore the top of our furniture despite his sight challenges, and now navigates the stairs beautifully. We love him and can’t imagine life without him. Thank you, Everett Shelter supporters, for helping this love bug heal and live his happiest life."

Eloise

Eloise needs your help

Sweet Eloise was recently found as a stray, so weak she was unable to walk on her own. It took days to get Eloise to eat anything and she had to be moved with a stretcher.

Once our veterinarian team discovered Eloise had an infection in her uterus, they got to work treating her and performed surgery to spay her and treat the infection.

Eloise is a fighter and there have been many times we weren't sure if she'd pull through. She's not out of the woods yet and will be with us for some time.

Eloise is 4 year old, and if she had been spayed when she was younger she would not be fighting for her life now.

Featured Pet: Hachi

Hachi is a happy-go-lucky 5-year-old pittie mix! Hachi is a gentle giant who loves nothing more than a long walk where his nose can lead the way. He enjoys the company of people and seems to bond with his humans quickly.

Hachi is smart and treat motivated and can't wait to learn more tricks. If you're looking for a running or walking partner, Hachi would like to apply for the job!
