Join our online Kitten Shower!

It's kitten season, that time of year where shelters and rescues see a large increase in stray and unwanted kittens. While kittens are cute, they are costly to care for and often require special food, formula and bottle feeding and all need vaccines and spay/neuter surgeries before they are ready for new homes.

We estimate this year we'll care for more than 900 tiny kittens with an estimated cost of almost $300 per kitten.

Nine Huskies found new homes in one day! 

Last week the shelter was overflowing with dogs and alot of them were Huskies and Husky mixes. Huskies can make great pets for the right family and have some really wonderful qualities but a lot of them don’t thrive in the shelter environment. Our goal is always to get homeless dogs into loving, qualified homes as quickly as we can.

On June 21st we hosted our first ever Huskies on Parade Adoption Event and are thrilled that 9 wonderful dogs found new families that day!

Congrats to Nana, Sookie, Diesel, Steven, Wisdom, Halo, Tim, Carl and Puzzles who all went home on Sunday! Some of these dogs had been with us for months and we can't wait to share updates on their new lives. 

Our donors make it possible for us to care for homeless dogs without any timelines, and for that our Huskies thank you!

Featured Pet: Nigel

Nigel has been in the shelter since March when he was found on the streets with a fractured leg. We don't know exactly what happened to Nigel but after weeks of treatment and colorful splints he is ready for a new home!

Nigel is a young energetic cat with lots of personality. He loves to play and may enjoy another young cat friend. Despite his past trauma Nigel is a happy, healthy cat and as much as we love him, it's time for him to move on!
