[ARCHIVED] Drive-by shooting arrests

Everett Patch

EVERETT – Two males arrested after reports of a drive-by shooting incident in Everett.

At about 4:15 p.m. this evening, officers were dispatched to 4th Ave W and Holly Dr on the report of multiple shots fired. Arriving officers found an unoccupied Jeep Cherokee parked in the roadway with several bullet holes.

Witnesses told officers that a dark colored passenger car was behind the Jeep as it was northbound on 4th Ave W with the occupants of both vehicles shooting at the other vehicle. When the shooting stopped, the passenger vehicle fled southwest on Holly Dr. The Jeep stopped in the roadway of the 9300 block of 4th Ave W and two males ran into a nearby house.

As officers contained the scene, the two males walked out of the house and were detained. A police K-9 found a pistol near the house which was traced back to one of the males.

The males, a 21 year-old from Everett and an 18 year-old from Bothell, were arrested on probable cause for charges of drive-by shooting (RCW 9A.36.045) and carrying a firearm (RCW 9.41.050). Both will be booked into the Snohomish County Jail.

Multiple shell casings were recovered in the intersection of 4th Ave W and Holly Dr.

The Jeep was impounded pending a search warrant to recover additional evidence. At this time, there is no additional information on the second vehicle.

No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.

4th Ave W is currently open for traffic but was closed during the investigation from 93rd St SW to Holly Dr.
