[ARCHIVED] Arrests made in gang related shooting

Detectives with the Major Crimes Unit continue investigating the shooting incident that occurred in the 8000 block of Beverly Blvd on May 29th that left a 16 year-old male in critical condition.

Initial 911 calls reported a road rage incident between two vehicles in the area of Casino Rd and Evergreen Way while additional callers said gunshots were fired on Beverly Blvd between vehicles with the same descriptions. From the investigation, detectives believe the incident was not a random road rage situation but was a gang related confrontation.

Detectives identified the described “white SUV or truck” used in the shooting and developed probable cause to arrest four males who were inside during the incident. With assistance from the Snohomish County Gang & Drug Task Force, ATF, the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office and the Violent Offender Task Force, the four were arrested this afternoon.

A 16 year-old and a 14 year-old were booked into the Denny Juvenile Justice Youth Center while two 18 years-olds were booked into the Snohomish County Jail on assault charges. All four are from the Everett area.

Road rage shooting leaves one in critical condition

Detectives with the Major Crimes Unit continue investigating Monday’s shooting incident in the 8000 block of Beverly Blvd that left a 16 year-old male in critical condition.

Initial 911 calls reported a road rage incident between two vehicles in the area of Casino Rd and Evergreen Way while additional callers said gunshots were fired on Beverly Blvd between vehicles with the same descriptions. Based on the investigation, detectives now believe the incident was not a random road rage situation but started earlier as a gang related confrontation. The timeline is not clear and remains under investigation.

The 16 year-old remains hospitalized. There will be no additional updates on his status.

The white SUV or truck has not been identified or located.

EVERETT – Major Crimes detectives are investigating a road rage incident that escalated to a shooting and ended with a 16 year-old male in critical condition.

Just before 3:45 pm this afternoon, 911 received calls of a road rage incident near Casino Rd and Evergreen Way between a white SUV or truck and a black Honda Civic. Shortly thereafter, witnesses called 911 to report shots being fired in the 8000 block of Beverly Blvd and described two vehicles with the same description as the road rage incident. Arriving officers did not find the involved vehicles, but located shell casings in the roadway.

At about 4 pm, officers were advised that a 16 year-old male arrived at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett - Colby Campus with a gunshot wound. The teen was admitted and is in critical condition. He was brought to the hospital by a black Honda Civic.

At this time, there is no information on the white SUV or truck and it has not been located.

Detectives are investigating the case and looking to talk with witnesses and anyone involved with the incident. It is unknown what started the event or how it escalated into a shooting.
