EVERETT – Two males were arrested in Monroe for recent strong arm vehicle robberies in Everett.
Monroe Police arrested two males after a short pursuit that started when an officer recognized their vehicle as one that had been taken during a robbery in Everett. Both males were transported to the Everett Police Department and interviewed. The males confessed to two robberies where they took vehicles by force from the owners.
On January 22nd, the suspects asked the driver of an Isuzu Trooper for help jump-starting their car in the 2100 block of Everett Ave. The driver agreed. During the interaction he was assaulted by the males before they drove off in the victim's vehicle. The victim sustained minor injuries. That vehicle was later recovered in the City of Gold Bar.
On January 23rd, the males contacted an occupied Honda Accord parked in the 3700 block of Broadway Ave. The suspects assaulted the driver and pulled him out of the vehicle before driving away. The driver sustained minor injuries. The Honda was recovered by Monroe PD after the pursuit.
The males are 18 and 21 years-old. Both have been booked into the Snohomish County Jail on robbery charges (RCW 9A.56.210).
