Graffiti Arrests-Tagging

DD15-5960: On March 31st, Officers Klages and O. Kravchun were dispatched to the 8500 block of Evergreen Way on the report of two males tagging businesses. The officers saw one male tagging and the second was nearby. Both ran but were apprehended and arrested. The males, ages 16 and 17, victimized multiple south Everett businesses for about $2,500 of damages using red and blue paint. The two are responsible for a variety of tags and have been referred for felony prosecution of malicious mischief 2nd degree to the Snohomish County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

DD15-7356: On April 22nd, witnesses called 911 after they watched a male write “Say no to crack” with a marker on City of Everett property. Officers Blake and Bennett were dispatched and found the male, who was still holding the marker. The investigation found that the male had written the statement several times and also wrote “Smile” on private property in the 2700 block of Hoyt Ave. Damage is estimated at $100. The man was arrested but refused to provide identification and was booked into the Snohomish County Jail as “John Doe” on probable cause for unlawful application of graffiti.
