Northshore beach restoration.jpg

Come provide input on beach restoration and maintenance along the Snohomish County shoreline. Meet on Monday, Sept 12, 5:30-7pm at Lions Hall at Forest Park.

Learn about the recent restoration project at Howarth Park and other beach sites between the Port of Everett and Mukilteo.

Discuss funding strategies for future maintenance along the beach with neighbors, community members, and Snohomish County staff.

Get involved in the future of Howarth Park, and other beach sites in the project area.

ABOUT THE PROJECT: The Nearshore Beach Restoration Project included removal of a rock revetment and placement of beach gravel at Howarth Park. In addition, finer beach sediment suitable for forage fish spawning (referred to as beach nourishment) was added to all site locations. Restoration of beach habitat increases and improves public access to the beach, improves habitat for forage fish, and supports Chinook salmon recovery efforts.
