[ARCHIVED] PRESS RELEASE - Arrest made in robbery attempt after video posted to YouTube (April 2, 2015)

An 18 year-old Granite Falls man has been arrested on attempted robbery charges after a 15 year-old victim came forward and made a police report. The incident occurred on March 26th at about 3:45 p.m. in the east alley between the 1400 and 1700 blocks of Broadway Ave.

As the victim walked to class, the confrontation was captured and posted to YouTube. The video shows one suspect blocking the victim while a second suspect hits him with a skateboard in an attempt to take the victims hat.

A Probation Officer initially spoke with the victim and identified one of the suspects while the victim identified the other. Once a report was made, Everett Police officers arrested and booked the 18 year-old into the Snohomish County Jail. There is probable cause to arrest the second suspect, a 15 year-old Everett male.
