[ARCHIVED] Non-emergency phone number now available in Everett

Everett Patch.jpg

Effective June 1, a new non-emergency phone number is available in Everett and most of Snohomish County: 425-407-3999.

Only call 911 in the event of an emergency. An emergency is when there is an immediate threat to life or property, or a crime in progress. If you are not sure if your situation is an emergency, call 911.

Examples of non-emergencies include:
-fireworks-animal-related complaints
-noise complaints-traffic complaints
-requests for information-power outage (to report an outage, call PUD at 425-783-1001)

The non-emergency number is intended for non-life threatening situations where there is no immediate danger to life or property. The purpose of the non-emergency number is to reduce potential delays on the 911 line while continuing to provide service for non-emergency matters.

More information on the new non-emergency numbers, how to call 911, enhanced 911 (or e911), and Smart 911 is available online.
