In the last segment guest Hil Kaman, Lead Prosecutor from the City's Legal-Prosecutor's Office, talks about two new programs (1) the Diversion program which under the safe streets proposal, the City will implement and expand alternative policing and prosecution models proven to reduce recidivism.
and (2) the CHART (CHronic-utilizer Alternative Response Team) program is a team of criminal justice, emergency response, and research partners who collaborate in an effort to reduce the impact of chronic utilizers on the health care, emergency medical services, crisis care, legal, and criminal justice systems.
