Broadway Bridge Replacement for the week of March 16th to the 20th. Drilled shaft construction for retaining wall 2 and bridge pier 1 on the south side continues. Retaining wall 4 is formed on the north side of the bridge and concrete is poured by pump truck.
The Broadway Bridge spans over the main line of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad on Broadway between Hewitt Avenue and California Street in Everett, WA. The bridge replacement project contract was awarded to Interwest Construction in October 2014. The new bridge is expected to open to travel by early 2016. The total project cost, including design and construction, is $13.6 million.
