1700 State Street Shooting Leaves One Dead in Everett 

 

EVERETT, WA – Major Crimes detectives are investigating a shooting that resulted in the death of a male at Henry M Jackson Park.

 

Just before 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, November 26th, officers were dispatched to multiple reports of gunshots at Henry M Jackson Park (1700 State St).

 

When officers arrived on the scene, they located a male with an obvious gunshot wound in the covered area of the park. Officers began rendering aid to the male, when medics arrived at the location, he was pronounced deceased.  The victim’s identity remains unknown at this time.

 

Witnesses informed officers that they heard multiple rounds fired and multiple vehicles were said to have fled the scene prior to police arrival. Officers initiated a K9 track to search for any suspects that may have fled on foot, none were located.  Numerous casings were discovered in and around the park.

 

Major Crimes detectives believe the victim and suspects are otherwise known to each other; the extent of their relationship is still under investigation at this point.

 

This is an active and ongoing investigation.
