EVERETT, Wash. – The City of Everett’s Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC) is currently accepting applications for projects focused on tourism development and promotion within the city of Everett for the year 2024. Public and non-profit agencies are encouraged to submit their applications by Tuesday, December 1, 2023, at 5 p.m.
For the 2024 cycle, there is a total of $560,000 in funding available for public and non-profit agencies. These funds will be competitively awarded to eligible applicants who can demonstrate their capacity to execute proposed projects by December 31, 2024.
“We look forward to reviewing applications for creative ideas that will encourage more tourism within our city and create more opportunities for residents and visitors to enjoy what Everett has to offer,” said Council President and LTAC Chair Brenda Stonecipher. “I’m proud that our city offers this grant opportunity, which helps bring more events and festivals here and further promotes Everett as a great place to visit or live.”
The 2024 LTAC grant application process has transitioned to Amplifund, a software solution designed to enhance the efficiency of the application, review, and funding processes while prioritizing data security. A new lodging tax information guide was created to guide applicants through the process. Applicants are advised to review this guide and gather the necessary documentation before starting the application process.
This grant program is made possible through taxes collected from hotel and motel room rentals within the city of Everett.
