Everett Parks & Recreation recently held a series of community open houses to gather public input on 3 alternative plans for the Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Plan update (PROS). The Board of Park Commissioners will meet for a workshop on Tuesday, Feb. 23 at 6pm at Spruce Hall in Forest Park to review the comments provided at these open houses, on-line and at prior community meetings. The Board will seek to develop a consensus on a draft set of investment plan elements. These elements will then be available for public review and comment through a city-wide survey effort. The packet includes a one page summary of key public comments, updated financial estimates for a draft plan for a six and twenty year time horizon, and an updated series of maps that show current and proposed park investments.
