Everett's first bicycle boulevard coming to Fleming Street corridor
Work to construct a new north/south bicycle boulevard will begin in late April/early May to add bicycle wayfinding signs, shared lane markings and other pavement markings on Federal Avenue, College Avenue and Fleming Street between Madison Street and the pedestrian and bicycle overpass of Mukilteo Boulevard at Forest Park. The project will also add traffic calming elements along Federal Avenue and College Avenue, including the removal of road centerline striping and construction of short median islands. Expected impacts include noise during work hours (7 a.m. to 4 p.m.) and temporary traffic and parking restrictions. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience to you. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we complete this important project.
This project is part of the City of Everett’s efforts to improve bikeway connectivity and encourage bicycle ridership citywide in alignment with the mayor’s Climate and Sustainability directive and Everett's Bicycle Master Plan.
