09/06/2022 Shooting leaves one injured at Henry M Jackson Park

EVERETT, WA – Major Crimes detectives are investigating a shooting that left one injured at Henry M Jackson Park.

Just after 1 p.m. on Monday, September 5th, officers were dispatched to reports of gunshots at Henry M Jackson Park (1700 State St).

 When officers arrived on the scene, they located a male in his late teens with multiple gunshot wounds. Witnesses on scene informed officers that a male had fired multiple rounds at the victim and fled on foot prior to police arrival. Officers initiated a K9 track and utilized drones to search for the suspect, but the suspect has not been located at this point.

 The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, where he remains stable. 

 Major Crimes detectives are continuing to investigate the incident and do not believe there is any ongoing threat to the community.
