EVERETT, WA – Yesterday, officers working in North Everett located and arrested the suspect from Monday’s shooting that left two dead and one injured in the 2000 block of Lexington.

Since the shooting occurred Monday, our Major Crimes detectives have worked tirelessly to identify the suspect in this incident. Detectives used witness statements, video footage, and other evidence to successfully identify a suspect and a vehicle used by the suspect.

Just after 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, an officer from our Community Outreach and Enforcement Team (COET) was working in the 2600 block of Broadway when he recognized the vehicle that detectives had identified in the parking lot of a restaurant.

Patrol officers and officers from our Anti-Crime Team (ACT) responded to the suspect vehicle location and found the suspect inside. The suspect, a male in his 20s, was taken into custody without incident.

Major Crimes detectives are still investigating the shooting incident to establish all the details in the case and if there is any link to previous shootings, and the suspect has been booked into Snohomish County Jail for two counts of murder in the second degree and one count of assault in the first degree.
