Naval Station Everett Training Exercises in May

EVERETT, Wash. - Naval Station Everett will be conducting a training exercise at the Everett main base on multiple dates: May 4 and May 18-19. Exercise activities are scheduled to occur between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5:45 p.m.

On all exercise days, base gates may be closed for brief 5-10 minute periods.

Those nearby may hear mass warning announcements and blank rounds that simulate gunfire. They may also see active emergency response vehicles around the base and boat activity in the harbor.

The Navy regularly conducts training exercises to maintain and improve security and emergency response qualifications. These exercises help prepare for a real emergency and enhance coordination with mutual aid partners.

For more information about the exercise or future notifications, contact Naval Station Everett Public Affairs at (360) 340-5321.
