03/15/22 One in custody after fatally stabbing one and hospitalizing a second

EVERETT, WA –A male is in custody after a domestic dispute that ended with one person fatally stabbed and a second person hospitalized. 

 At approximately 10:20 a.m. today, Officers were dispatched to an apartment complex in the 3100 block of Oakes Ave with reports of someone having been stabbed. 

 When officers arrived on scene, they found a deceased male in his 20s and a female in her late teens with what is believed to be a non-fatal stab wound. After the stabbing occurred the suspect fled the location on foot. Officers searched the area using a K-9 but did not initially locate the suspect. The nature of the relationship between the victims and the suspect is still under investigation.  

 As officers investigated the scene, they learned that the suspect may have gone to a residence located in Snohomish County near the city of Lynnwood. Deputies with Snohomish County Sherriff’s Office checked the residence and located the suspect inside. After initially refusing to come out, the suspect surrendered to law enforcement and was taken into custody without incident.
