Work on the Transmission Line 3 replacement project is complete. Water service has been restored to those connected to the transmission line, and it is now safe to resume using your water service as normal. Restoration of water service
- If you experience dirty water or air in your water lines when water service is restored, follow these steps:
- To remove air, turn on cold water faucets and run until no air is detected.
- For dirty water, turn on a bathtub cold-water faucet and run until water is clear. In some cases, this could take up to 30 minutes.
- If the problem persists, call Everett Public Works Dispatch at 425-257-8821.
Avoid future service interruptions
Getting household water directly from a transmission line involves periodic service interruptions. Everett encourages those connected to our transmission lines to pursue connecting to a nearby water distribution system. Call Everett’s 24-hour Dispatch (425-257-8821) and ask to speak to a water maintenance supervisor to learn more. Snohomish County PUD is waiving $7,800 in fees for our transmission line customers to connect to their distribution system, if available.
