Everett Parks & Facilities is preparing for the final phase of the accessibility path project at Harborview Park in partnership with Everett’s Port Gardner Rotary Club.
This final phase continues the perimeter path toward the wooded area of Harborview Park, extending the existing gravel path north to the wooded area where woodchips will be added. That portion of the project will complete the path and will run east through the wooded area and connect to Mukilteo Boulevard. Phase one of the construction of the perimeter trail took place in spring 2019 in partnership with the Port Gardner Rotary Club.
In preparation for the project, City staff have began be prepping the location for the project. Park visitors will see the north end of the park blocked off to bring in material for leveling out the proposed path, and woodchips to be spread out through the wooded area. The established staging area is closed to the public until the end of the project on Sept. 11.
Community members are invited to the volunteer event on Saturday, Sept. 11 at 9 a.m. to help complete construction of the path. All volunteers are welcome. Contact email@example.com to RSVP.
