IN HER SHORT LIFE SHE HAD BEEN BOUNCED AROUND AND NEGLECTED, and had never known structure or security. After her third visit to our shelter, we began to worry about her future. But with your help, she is now thriving as a Washington State Patrol Homeland Security K9.
Mocha came to us for the third time lacking training and desperately needing an outlet for her energy. Not only was she active and wild, she was large and strong, and we feared her mental scars could get her into trouble. Your support made it possible for us to take her in and begin her training, with no time limits. Once Mocha was given a chance to run and play and engage her mind, she began to thrive and we saw just how smart and loyal she was.
Mocha was adopted by Washington State Patrol and has since graduated to become a Homeland Security K9 Officer trained in explosives detection. Mocha is working at ferry terminals searching cars for explosives. Hopefully in the future she'll be protecting the public by patrolling Seahawks and Sounders games, and concerts and events.
Our donor's support cared for unwanted pets and provided them a chance at a new life, and for that Mocha thanks you.
