CONSTRUCTION NOTICE

Utility Improvement Project

Work has begun on a utility improvement project in your neighborhood. The purpose of this project is to replace and upsize existing sewers and aging cast iron water mains.

A city contractor, Interwest Construction Inc., will perform the work. Interwest has a designated Community Project Liaison, Joshua Gaethle, who can be reached at 360-770-0028, or by e-mail at joshuag@interwest.biz. Normal work hours will be 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Some night work will be allowed for water connection work.

 Access impacts

• Full block street closures will occur on Colby Avenue between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on working days. Not more than two consecutive blocks will be closed at a time. Pedestrian access will be maintained. 
• During work hours, residents will be able to access your property, but vehicle delays of about 20 minutes can be expected to allow time to stop work, move equipment out of the way and plate the trench in the roadway. Residents’ assistance in minimizing work stoppages will help get the work completed as quickly as possible.
• A parking area outside of the construction is available.
• Pedestrian access will be available when possible. There will be times that access may be restricted for safety reasons.
