Hit and run in Everett

EVERETT – The Everett Police Department is investigating a hit and run collision that sent six to the hospital.

At about 10:30 pm on November 1st, officers responded to the report of a collision at the intersection of 5th Ave W and W Casino Rd. On arrival, officers found two SUV’s had collided in the intersection. The vehicle that was struck, a Chevy Tahoe, had six occupants of which three were juveniles. Due to the force of the collision, the three juveniles and one adult had been ejected from the vehicle. The SUV that struck the Tahoe, a Dodge Durango, was left abandoned in the roadway when the driver fled on foot.

A police K-9 responded to the scene but was unable to locate the driver of the Durango.

All six occupants of the Tahoe were initially transported to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett. The adults sustained what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries while the three juveniles were transferred to Harborview Medical Center. There is no medical update for the juveniles.

Traffic Safety Unit detectives responded to the scene. Information on the dynamics of the crash is not available as the incident is under investigation.

The intersection of 5th Ave W and W Casino Rd was closed for the investigation but opened just before 1:00 am.
