When visiting parks for some summer sunshine and play, please pack out what you pack in. Trash service and receptacles are limited at this time due to limited resources and staff.
We’ve seen an increase in trash left behind in our parks this season as more community members take advantage of the warm sunshine and fresh air. We hope you’ll help us keep Everett’s parks beautiful and clean by taking your trash with you to throw away at home. Pro tip: bring an old grocery bag with you when you head to the park so you have somewhere to store and transport your trash when you leave.
Community members who would like to help pick up trash are invited to contact Cory Rettenmier at crettenmier@everettwa.gov to coordinate volunteer efforts and supplies.
As a friendly reminder, please recreate responsibly by covering your face when near others, keeping a safe distance (at least 6 feet) from those outside your household, staying home when you’re sick, avoiding crowded parks and staying out of closed areas. Restrooms, playgrounds and picnic shelters are closed until phase three of the state’s Safe Start Plan.
Thank you for helping take care of our beautiful parks and each other!
