[ARCHIVED] Rethink Zoning - Public Hearing on Tuesday

After more than two years of review, input and discussion, the Everett Planning Commission will have a public hearing on the set of comprehensive plan and code amendments this coming Tuesday, August 18th at 6:30 p.m.

No action is requested of the Planning Commission at the August 18th hearing. This is the opportunity for the public to provide their input. The Planning Commission is scheduled to forward their recommendations to the City Council on September 8th. Additional opportunity to submit written comment to the Planning Commission and City Council is available after the August 18th hearing.

How to Participate in the Hearing

The City of Everett uses Microsoft TEAMS to conduct public meetings.  The public can access via phone, or online using the TEAMS App.  

If you would like to testify at the public hearing, please call or email us by 6:00 PM on August 18 at 425-257-8731 or at planning@everettwa.gov by providing your name, address, and phone number. 

We would encourage you to provide your comments in writing before the meeting. Send them to planning@everettwa.gov.

Via Phone:

To listen to the public meeting, call the conference call line (425-616-3920) and enter the ID# (378 633 930#) of the meeting.  All external calls will be muted during the presentations. At the appropriate time, the Planning Commission Chair will open the meeting to public comments. Those wishing to speak may unmute their phones by entering *6 when their phone number is called.  Speakers will need to state their name and address as introduction.

Via computer/smartphone/tablet:

If you have a computer/smartphone/tablet and an Internet connection you can join via Microsoft Teams.

Follow this meeting link as early as 15 minutes before the meeting starts. It will open in a browser. You can choose to follow the instructions on that webpage to install the Teams app or join from the browser.

Once you are in the meeting, please mute your microphone.  Please keep mic muted until the Planning Commission Chair opens the period for public comments.  If you do not have a headset with microphone, or are unsure if your computer has an integrated microphone, you may also call in using the conference call line and enter the ID# of the meeting.
