The Everett Planning Commission will be briefed on Rethink Zoning Tuesday, July 7th at 6:30 p.m.
Two more briefings with the Planning Commission regarding Rethink Zoning are scheduled. The meeting on July 7th will cover several topics, including:
- two changes to the list of comprehensive plan land use map amendments
- repeal of contract rezones
- definitions
- amendments to off-street parking and landscaping chapters
- residential densities

The final briefing on Rethink Zoning is scheduled for July 21st. A public hearing is scheduled for August 18th at 6:30 p.m. The changes to the city’s development codes and amendments to the comprehensive plan, which will be subject to the public hearing, are tentatively scheduled to be released on July 10th. These documents will be available on the project website at www.everettwa.gov/rethink.
