[ARCHIVED] UPDATE: City to open application process for Everett CARES grants to aid public service providers

Everett CARES grant program

EVERETT, Wash. –The Everett City Council approved on April 29 the Everett Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (Everett CARES) Grant Program to support small businesses and service providers impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The application process for public service providers will be open from Monday, May 18 at 5 p.m. to Friday, May 29 at 5 p.m.

The grant program allocates approximately $500,000 for bolstering community service programs that provide basic needs to Everett’s most vulnerable residents. Funds are intended to be used to prevent, prepare for and respond to impacts of COVID-19.

The program will disburse grants to service providers throughout the city with priority given to housing and food programs serving the hardest hit community members including under-served populations.

The first round of the application process, which closed on May 11, was focused on small businesses. More than 150 businesses submitted applications.
