[ARCHIVED] Arrest made in overnight stabbing

EVERETT, WA – Stabbing suspect arrested after an extensive search in Everett.

Just before 10:00 p.m. last night, officers responded to the report of a stabbing that occurred at a residence in the 300 block of Bedrock Dr and found a 62 year-old male with multiple stab wounds. The male was immediately transported to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett with life-threatening injuries. The suspect, a 21 year-old man, had fled the residence on foot. Officers contained the area and initiated a K-9 search. After almost 4-hours, the suspect was located and arrested without incident.

Major Crimes detectives responded to the scene and determined the injured male lived at the residence with the suspect and his father. The investigation will continue.

There is no update on the victim’s condition.

The suspect was booked into the Snohomish County Jail on probable cause for assault 1st degree - domestic violence.
