[ARCHIVED] City of Everett launches to help support local businesses on a computer screen

EVERETT, Wash. – In partnership with the Downtown Everett Association, the City of Everett developed a website,, to help support businesses in Everett that are providing customers a safe social distancing option for purchasing goods.

The website informs customers about which restaurants are offering curbside pickup, takeout, delivery and other alternatives to in-person dining or shopping. The website also includes information about ways to support the arts and enjoy virtual hangouts.

On March 16, Governor Jay Inslee signed a statewide emergency proclamation to temporarily shut down restaurants, bars and entertainment and recreational facilities to slow the spread of COVID-19 and limit its exposure to more vulnerable demographics. Businesses throughout Washington are finding alternative ways to serve their customers. This temporary closure does not include grocery stores, pharmacies or takeout, delivery and drive-thru food and beverage services.

“We are working to provide our residents with information on how they can support our local businesses,” said Everett Mayor Cassie Franklin. “We want to keep our community whole and vibrant, and come together during this difficult time.”

Businesses can submit their services online and get placed on by filling out a short form that can be found on the website.
