Two Everett Public Works counters to close temporarily
Permit Services and Utility Services operations will continue with online and telephone access only

EVERETT, WA – The City of Everett Permit Services and Utility Services public counters will temporarily close at the end of business Friday, March 13, until further notice, due to public health concerns related to the COVID-19 virus.

“We are closing these public facing counters to protect the health of our customers and staff,” said Ryan Sass, public works director. “It’s not a decision we take lightly, but we are confident we can continue to serve our customers with the use of online tools and telephone access.”

Permit Services

Permit Services staff will remain available during normal business hours, via phone, email and postal mail. During this time, community members are encouraged to utilize Permit Services’ online resources. High call and email volumes are expected; inquiries will be responded to in the order received.

A Quick Resource Guide is available for all project & property questions, and to connect with staff via phone or email. Permit intakes & issuance information is available in Permitting Procedures During Temporary Office Closure policy.  More information about Everett Permit Services and useful permitting tools can be found at everettwa.gov/Permits.
