A 1947 era, 6-inch cast iron water main broke on the 900 block of East Marine View Drive late Sunday night, Sept. 1, requiring crews to shut off service to a single property during the repair. The break appears to have caused flooding to one home. The line is expected to be repaired and restored by early Monday morning.
Once water is restored, people are encouraged to run their water until clear and air is released from the line. Though water may appear discolored, it is safe to use and drink.
