Pursuit Ends in Single Collision, Fatality

The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office completed their examination and identification of the 18-year old male driver involved in the fatal collision at the intersection of SR9 and Cathcart Way. He has been identified as Pierce L. Milton of Everett, WA with the manner of death an accident.
Additionally, through their investigation, detectives learned that the involved vehicle belonged to Milton’s parents.
Of the involved officers, the Master Patrol Deputy with eight years of service is 31 years-old, the Deputy with nine years of service is 32 years-old and the Mill Creek Police Officer has been with the agency for seven years and is 31 years-old. All have been placed on administrative leave.

Detectives continue investigating the incident and collision in which a 19 year-old Everett man, the driver, died. At this time, no cause has been established as to the initial call for service or what occurred.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office has responded to the scene and will take custody of the body to determine cause and manner of death and confirm identity.
A Master Patrol Deputy with eight years of service, a Deputy with nine years of service and a Mill Creek Police Officer with four years of service were involved in the incident.
The involved vehicle is a 1994 BMW sedan.

SNOHOMISH, Wash. - A pursuit of a stolen vehicle ended in a single car collision at the intersection of SR9 and Cathcart Way in which the driver died at the scene. The incident began earlier when a vehicle was reported stolen at around 9 p.m. from the 14600 block of 58th Dr SE in unincorporated Everett. Responding deputies from the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office located the vehicle traveling eastbound on Cathcart Way. Sheriff’s deputies and a Mill Creek police officer pursued the vehicle, which traveled across SR9 and off the roadway. The vehicle caught fire and, despite attempts to rescue the driver, he died at the scene. There were no other occupants in the vehicle.
The incident will be investigated by the Snohomish County Multiple Agency Response Team.
