A 1963, 8-inch cast iron water main broke at 60th Street and Seahurst Avenue early Wednesday morning, requiring crews to shut off water service to 75 homes during the repair. No damage was reported. The line is expected to be repaired and restored by late morning Wednesday. Once water service is restored, people are encouraged to run their water until clear and air is released from the line. Though water may appear discolored, it is safe to use and drink.
