[ARCHIVED] Paint the town with the colors of spring at Viva Color!

Family planting at Viva Color 2018

EVERETT, WA – It’s that time of year for flower petals and greenery to splash bright hues around Everett! Volunteers of all ages are invited to connect and serve with neighbors and be part of the Viva Color tradition at two community planting days: Friday, May 17, in downtown and Saturday, June 1, at Forest Park.

The city provides gloves, trowels, safety vests, refreshments and souvenir buttons. Dress for the weather at one or both events and help dress Everett in its floral best for summer.

Fill downtown flower pots

Friday, May 17, 8:30-10 a.m.

Work with other early bird volunteers and parks employees to plant hundreds of flowers and greens in the decorative pots dotting downtown Everett streets. Meet at the corner of Hewitt and Colby avenues.

Forest Park, 802 E. Mukilteo Blvd.

Help create carpets of colorful blossoms along Mukilteo Blvd. Meet at Forest Park, where parking may be limited, or catch a free shuttle from View Ridge Plaza lot at the northwest corner of Mukilteo and Olympic boulevards starting at 8:45 a.m.
