Construction notice: Alverson Stormwater Separation Project
Construction will begin the week of May 13 on a stormwater collection system along Alverson Boulevard, Grand Avenue and 9th Street. Rodarte Construction will do the work. Normal work hours will be 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The purpose of this project is to minimize basement and surface flooding and reduce stormwater overflows into the Snohomish River. When complete, this project will tie into pipe installed by the North Wetmore Project and convey stormwater to detention ponds on the Legion Memorial Golf Course.
Work will begin at 5th Street and proceed south down Alverson and Grand Avenue. Due to the nature of the work, there will be noise, and traffic and parking restrictions. The contractor will post signs advising motorists of traffic revisions and flaggers will be on hand to assist local residents.
We apologize for any inconvenience to you. The project should take approximately four months to complete.
