GRAND AVENUE PARK BRIDGE Construction Update
Next week, the contractor, Interwest Construction, will be mobilizing at the north end of Grand Avenue Park to prepare the site for the placement of the bridge structure. Normal work hours will be 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Monday morning, May 13, there will be a temporary traffic disruption at the intersection of Grand Avenue and 16th Street for the delivery of an excavator. Flaggers will assist traffic during the offloading of the excavator, which will take an hour or so to complete.
During the week of May 20, there will be a temporary traffic disruption at the intersection of Grand Avenue and 16th Street for the delivery of a crane. Again, flaggers will assist traffic during the offloading of the crane, which will take an hour or so to complete.
Work at the park will take a few weeks and should be completed by the end of May. After that, it will be quiet at the park until the placement of the bridge, planned for this summer.
