Help young gardeners hunt for treasure during a quick family egg scramble on Saturday, April 20, 1-2 p.m., at Evergreen Arboretum & Gardens. Join the seed egg scramble by following the main paths from the entry pagoda to the gazebo.
In honor of Earth Day, arboretum volunteers are hoping to grow future gardeners by filling brightly colored eggs with seeds and dirt and hiding them among the grass. After the hunt, children can plant their seeds right inside the shells and carry the starts home to germinate in provided egg cartons. The free event will also include goodies and beverages, and go on rain or shine.
