EVERETT, WA – Everett Parks & Community Services will close a portion of the Harborview Park parking lot from April 8-27 to prepare for the accessibility improvement project with the Port Gardner Rotary Club. Preparation for phase one of the project includes staging equipment and removing sod.
The accessibility improvement project consists of installing a pathway from the parking lot, through the park, and adding ADA-compliant picnic tables and more benches to improve park accessibility. Everett Parks & Community Services and the Port Gardner Rotary Club will complete the project in two phases: phase one on Saturday, April 27 and phase two in 2020.
Approximately 60 volunteers are needed to assist the Port Gardner Rotary Club at their April 27 “Rotary at Work” event. Funding for materials is being provided by Everett’s Port Gardner Rotary Club, in partnership with Everett Parks & Community Services.
