Everett Planning Commission held a meeting on March 5, 2019 to discuss the following agenda:


Item 1: Public Hearing on Amendments to Comprehensive Plan (Land Use & Urban Design)

A public hearing on proposed amendments to the comprehensive plan. There are three changes being considered: 

1. Add East Marine View Drive to the list of Everett’s Gateway Corridors with amendments to the Urban Design and Land Use Elements.

2. Address strategic plans for key business corridors and districts to respond to Mayoral Directive by amendments to the Land Use Element.

3. Simplify the Land Use Element including map designations, text and policies, as the initial phase to look at development code updates and simplification.

 

Item 2: Public Hearing on Code Amendments related to Metro Everett and Off-Street Parking

A public hearing on a package of amendments to address consistency and other fixes to the package of ordinances adopted for Metro Everett and city-wide off-street parking.

 

Item 3: Shoreline Master Program Periodic Update

An update on public comments received since the end of the comment period and a preview of other related plan amendments scheduled for public hearing on March 19, 2019.


Item 4: Critical Areas Amendments and Zoning/Local Project Review Amendments

An update on public comments received since the end of the comment period regarding critical areas and a preview of other code amendments (zoning and local project review) related to both critical areas and shorelines scheduled for public hearing on March 19, 2019.

 

The public is encouraged to attend and provide comments for consideration by the Planning Commission.
