Additional arrests made in connection with Feb. 17 homicide

EVERETT, WA – Since Feb. 17, detectives have continued investigating the shooting at 85th and Evergreen Way that killed one male. Following leads, detectives arrested a 28 year-old man believed to be the getaway driver and a 31 year-old man believed to be the shooter.
In addition to these men, detectives had already arrested a 27 year-old woman for tampering with evidence, a 28 year-old man who arranged the meet-up, and a 27 year-old man who was also present at the homicide.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office completed their examination and confirmed the identification of the deceased male as 19-year old Raul Cuadros, who was shot in the chest.
The homicide remains an active investigation and Everett Police will share more information as it becomes available.

Police arrest two more individuals in connection with Feb. 17 homicide

EVERETT, WA – Everett Police on Tuesday arrested two more individuals in connection with the Feb. 17 homicide at 85th and Evergreen, including the man who was with the suspected shooter. Officers also arrested an adult male who is suspected of arranging the meet-up that led to the shooting.
In addition to the two men arrested today, police on Sunday arrested the woman who was with the victim at the time of the shooting, after detectives found a gun in her purse. The woman told officers that she had removed the gun from the victim prior to officers arriving on scene. The woman was arrested and booked into jail for tampering with evidence.
The homicide is still an active investigation and Everett Police will share more information as it becomes available.

Everett Police respond to homicide at 85th and Evergreen
(Original Release - February 17, 2019)
EVERETT, WA – Everett Police are investigating a homicide that occurred early Sunday morning, Feb. 17, at 85th and Evergreen.
Officers were dispatched at 3:43 a.m. to reports of a shooting in the Jack in the Box parking lot. Several nearby officers responded to the scene within a minute of the dispatch, where they found an adult male with a gunshot wound. An adult woman who had been with the man at the time of the shooting was also on scene, and was unharmed.
Officers immediately began CPR; the man was later pronounced deceased by aid crews.
Witness statements indicate that there were two suspects involved in the incident. Everett Police initiated a K-9 track of the area but were unable to locate any suspects. Officers detained one person of interest as he left the scene; the man remains in custody at this time.
Initial reports indicate that the victims and suspects knew each other.
This is an active investigation and Everett Police will share more information as it becomes available.
